There is a specific kind of magic that happens when a family of four becomes a family of five. The house gets a little louder, the hearts get a little fuller, and the coffee definitely needs to be a little stronger! I recently had the absolute joy of visiting the Norelli family in their beautiful Lake Mary home to document the arrival of their newest teammate, Baby Harvey.

Home is Where the Heart (and the Chaos) Is

I’m a huge advocate for lifestyle sessions because there is simply no place more meaningful than your own four walls. For Harvey’s session, we didn’t need a studio or fancy props—we just needed the people who love him most.

Harvey’s jungle-themed nursery provided such a vibrant, personality-filled backdrop for his first portraits. But we didn't stop indoors! We stepped into their backyard to soak up some of that classic Florida greenery, giving the session a perfect mix of cozy indoor snuggles and fresh, natural light.

The Best Kind of Big Brother Energy

One of my favorite parts of this session was watching Harvey’s two older brothers. They are already completely smitten with their "tiny human." We captured:

The Proud Gazes: The quiet moments where they just stared in awe at his tiny hands.

The Playful Chaos: The energy that only big brothers can bring to a room.

The Gentle Cuddles: Seeing them navigate their new roles with such tenderness was enough to make anyone’s heart melt.

Why We Document These Days

The newborn phase is a beautiful, blurry whirlwind. Between the feedings and the late nights, it’s easy to forget just how small they once were or how the light hit the nursery chair in the afternoon.

My goal with the Norelli family—and for every family I work with—is to freeze those genuine, everyday moments so you can look back years from now and remember exactly how it felt to bring your baby home.
